Default Cual es la palabra para "flange" en espanol?

He visto la palabra platino or brida usada para "flange".
Es una palabra usado en la industria de bombas hidraulicos
o tomas de fuerzas (PTO or Power Take Off)

Cual es correcto?

Flange (Merriam-Webster)

A rib or rim for strength, for guiding, or for attachment to another object, as in "a flange on a pipe" or "a flange on a wheel."

Brida (Real Academia de la Lengua)

Reborde circular en el extremo de los tubos metálicos para acoplar unos a otros con tornillos o roblones.

Technically the suffix "ranurada" or "giratoria" should be used.

Flange = Brida ranurada OR sometimes also called brida giratoria.

Yo siempre he usado brida, y es la que considero correcta.
