They are very interesting akorff, thank you!!

I have to admit I didn't read all of them, but I agree with the bit I did read.

I have also come across some very poor quality medical translations, it is not easy to translate this subject!

very interesting articles. just one thing I don't totally agree with...translators and language pairs... not all but many of us can translate and do it well in both languages, be it English to Spanish or the other way around. Of course, a native could always translate better from another to his own language but if you know the target language enough, you can do a good translation.
I also think that it's not only medical translation that takes research and getting deeper into a subject. Every single translation takes research, dictionaries, surfing the net, everything that can improve the knowledge of the translator regarding the topic of the text in both languages.
