It is a court case where an illegal alien is being sentenced. I suspect US Marshall Number is the meaning, but am not certain. All the documents I can find just say USM number. |

Follow this link:
http://www.answers.com/topic/usm There, you'll find all the acronyms for USM. But I've found also the acronym on the title of a case: *JUDGMENT IN A CRIMINAL CASE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA Case Number: 04-CR-210-RB USM Number: 32748-013 v. BARBARA ANN HAYES John A. Chanin, AFPD (Defendant’s Attorney) Most common acronym: United States Mail... I dunno, I hope this helps. Cya. **

Yes, it refers to something in a criminal case, but I don't find the use of USM in the list of acronyms you suggest. Guess I'll keep looking. Thanks anyway! I may call the federal court here to ask. K |

It's United States Marshal Number, the number of the notice the party received about the commencement of the lawsuit.
A suggestion: Notificación Nº ![]() |

Thank you for the clarification. I thought it was something like that. In Spanish, no sé si existe algo semejante o no.

Based on the definition provided by "remainder" we could translate it as "Número de Citación" or "N° de Boleta de Citación".
