    Cool Company titles... (in Spanish)

Could anybody clear me up on this? Is SA or SL together without full stops & commas or with S.A.? Which one is the correct one, if any:

    1) Pujol, S.A., Barcelona ?
    2) Pujol S.A, Barcelona ?
    3) Pujol, SA., Barcelona ? i though this was the right way though recently i've seen it written in all combinations!

    Thank you

Well, I'm not 100% sure, but I would go with the first one... In my opinion it's either all or none... So I'd go with "S.A." or "SA"... But the first one seems more accurate for me...
    Any other opinions?

Post Re: Company titles... (in Spanish)

Question Re: Company titles... (in Spanish)

Hi! Could it be Pujol S. A., Barcelona ?
I think if the punctuation according to RAE is "S. A." we also need the "," to separate the name from the location or branch. Is that right?

Clara, we need the comma both, to separate the name from the location and to separate the name from the kind of society it is part of so it shall be
    Pujol, S. A., Barcelona

I'm not sure, but I don't think there should be a comma after "Pujol". I've never seen it like that... I mean, that doesn't mean that it's correct, but it's more common to see it like this "Pujol S.A." than with a comma... At least that's my opinion...

I agree with Gise!! Sometimes we have to resort to usage and pragmatism.

In relation to the comma separating the business name from the business form, I assume it could be an anglicisim. For instance, we may often see this structure in American company names, e.g. Monsters, Inc.

    Have a nice day!
