Hi all,
The hemophilia foundation is preparing an outline of their session offerings for next Fall's Annual Meeting. Two of the sessions are going to be bi-lingual.
The titles are:

Self Advocacy I am thinking: Auto Representación

Bleeding 101 Because many of the Spanish speaking attendees may not understand the basic college course reference '101' I am thinking:
Lo Básico de los Trastornos Hemorrágicos

Your thoughts? Pensamientos?

I would add the word legal to the first case Auto Representaci�n Legal. And in the second case, I think is just fine.

Hi Sandra. I need to give a bit more context to Self Advocacy. In hemophilia, a rare bleeding disorder, families come up against many health professionals, school authorities, etc that know hardly anything about the disorder. Families have to learn how to advocate on behalf of their child (or themselves) in the face of authority figures, who, many times are not used to listening to patients/parents as sources of authoritative information. Nevertheless they have experiential information gleaned and relevant in these matters. There may be legal implications but I believe this is a broader sense of advocacy.

and this is what I can't think of... what type of cases? sure you can elaborate more on this, cause you have all the context.

Pensando en este titulo de cursillo, que le parece si utilizo algo asi?
Auto Representación: Como abogar para el tratamiento bien informado de su hijo en la sala de urgencias y para sus derechos en la escuela.

Muy largo pero mas claro, ¿no?

Millones de gracias Sandra! Están al punto! Por aquí está un poco fresco y estamos sin sol pero marzo es un mes de cambios bruscos de clima de un momento al otro.
