Question Message from a lady friend

My lady friend sent me a message in spanish, and I can understand most of it, but certain parts aren't making sense. She's not exactly fluent in spanish, but she's taken three years of it, so her grammar may not be perfect. Unfortunately, this forum won't really allow me to post her message without blacklisting about the whole message. It's innocent; there's nothing dirty in it or anything. Anyways, if you would be willing to help me translate it, please respond or send me an email or something.

Or you could just translate these few words that I can't understand:

estraño
pais
alli
chistas

Thanks for your help.

Hi Zabrien, I'll try to help but without a context and your friend not being good with Grammar and Spelling, not sure about the result.

estraño: this can be either I miss you or misses somebody else from the verb extrañar or she can be referring to something strange...
pais: country
alli: there
chistas: not sure about this but if it's correctly written can come from the verb chistar which can be translated as you reply but very informal...I think it is something else, so if you can post more context for this last one...
