    Question Consulta sobre frase

    Hola, como estan?
Queria consultar si alguno sabe que significa esta frase en ingles:

In for a penny in for a pound

Imagino que habla de dinero, pero no entiendo el significado...

At the moment I can only think of the phrases "whole hog (all) or nothing" , "go for broke", "go all the way"

Generally, they all mean that once one starts something one must see it to its end; give full effort; be totally committed to see it through to its end, rather than stopping short.

In for a penny in for a pound is originally an English phrase with reference to the fact that if one owed a penny, one might as well owe a pound (pound sterling in English currency).

Go for broke originated as Hawaiian slang (pidgin) meaning to wager everything..."bet it all". It became widely known in WWII as the motto of a Japanese-American army unit. A movie was made with the title of Go For Broke (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9LFT_lX-Z8)

Here are some other related phrases:

in for a dime, in for a dollar
in for an inch, in for a mile
one may as well hang for a sheep as a lamb

Wow.. You're really an enciclopedia Vicente..

    Thanks for the explanation.
I already knew the phrase Go For Broke, but I didn't know that there was a film made with this meaning.
