Should I use "Marketing" or "Mercadeo" when I translate to Spanish for the US Market?

Any help will be appreciated, thanks

I guess that "Marketing" sounds better for US Spanish. "Mercadeo" is the best choice for neutral, international Spanish.

Thank you! I also did some research on Internet, at Google in Spanish Languaage I found 15 millons results for "Marketing" and less than 3 millons results for "mercadeo" and "mercadotecnia", so I think that Marketing is the most common option.

Hola! Para US Spanish la mejor opci�n es Marketing.
Si la traducci�n fuera para espa�ol latinoamericano las otras opciones tambi�n ser�an perfectamente viables.

At least, marketing in Chile is correct and people use it a lot.....mercadeo sounds more spanish from Spain....that�s the word they use in Spain:mercadeo. I would use marketing, but mercadeo is also correct. You just have to see where this translation goes to.

Ambos t�rminos se ven mas en la literatura ib�rica y mejicana, posiblemente porque gran parte de las primeras traducciones del tema, a�os atr�s, las llevaban a cabo las imprentas espa�olas con equipos de traducci�n de M�jico.
Para US yo tambi�n usar�a marketing. Saludos!

Aunque es un americanismo o anglicismo en Espa�a todo el mundo habla de Marketing. Mercadeo tiene sentido y ser�a una posible traducci�n, pero esta opci�n me recuerda a mercado en el sentido de street market. Mercadeo podr�a hasta tener una connotaci�n peyorativa en cierto contexto.

Se dedica al mercadeo... (a kind of fishy business)

es mi opini�n como hispanohablante no soy filol�loga hisp�nica. Seguramente si el texto va dirijido al mercado latino no europeo, puedes usar perfectamente Mercadeo. En Espa�a cada vez somos m�s angl�fonos...
