    Default Which one is correct?

    There is always a menu item name "delete" in the 'Edit' menu of the softwares. I tried to translate the "delete" into Spanish, I got 3 answers as below, which one is correct? Thanks for help!

    1. cancelación
    2. borre
    3. suprimir

    On hindsight, it is more common to say:
    eliminar

    (which I got on my hotmail page for example)

    "Eliminar" es la forma que aparece en la mayoria de programas de varios softwares que traducimos en españa. En ingles puede ser "delete", "erase" etc.

    Eliminar...aunque dependiendo del contexto aplicaría tambien la palabra suprimir, que creo que sería el equivalente a "discard". Dejo la aclaratoria en manos de los que conocen la materia.
