    I am learning english ............... "Should " and "have " are modal verbs and they can't be together . Only "have " can do it

    Yes, but in this case shoud is modal, and have is a verb

    Yes. I agree with diegonel. In addition, "should" and "have" can appear together in complex verb phrases, as in: I should have bought you a book! (but I bought you something else).
