    Exclamation Flip-Flops!!!! translate!

    PLEASE I NEED HELP!!!!
    How do you translate flip-flops to spanish??
    i got - chancletas, yinas, chanclas.....
    anything else?????
    i need this by 3pm for our school phone message!

    In spain we say : chanclas
    Los hombres son superiores a las mujeres porque Alá les otorgó la primacia sobre ellas. Portanto, dió a los varones el doble de lo que dió a las mujeres. Los maridos que sufrieran desobediencia de sus mujeres pueden castigarlas: abandonarlas en sus lechos, e incluso golpearlas.

    This is really amazing! In Argentina we would also think of slippers if you say "pantuflas"...

    Flip-flops would be "ojotas" here, but if you prefer a more neutral and general word, we also accept "chinelas" (used to refer to any kind of informal sandals).

    In Mexico it is common to hear the Nautla word for sandal: "Huarache". they also use chanclas.

    they are "chancletas" in Colombia, most of them are rubber made

    you so right I was thinking in a different thing....we call them chalas o hawaianas....

    We're yinas here... Where did that word come from, I wonder? Chanclas o chancletas would be more like sandals, and yinas, definitely flip-flops.
