Default one-time the ball?

Hola, necesito ayuda para traducir el siguiente párrafo.
"Tennelle then one-time the ball over his head to forward Proctor, who beat his man one-on one on the right wing and laid the ball off for a slashing Otii just inside the box. The Denver native poked a shot into the right side of the net and passed a diving Branagan-Franco for the final 2-0 margin"

Muchas graciaas!

I'm not getting it!

Is it used as a verb?? "He one-timed the ball"?

Yeah, I can´t figure it out either.. What kind of sport are we talking about here? Are you sure there is no missing word in the sentence?

A promise is a promise . I found this definition :

ONE-TIME -- when an attacker strikes a shot off a pass or rebound without stopping the ball to gain control.

Hope this helps a little

Hi, this is not strictly correct. Anyone can one-time the ball, not just an attacker. So you can pass the ball back to the defender and they can pass it again without controlling it.

I agree with Veronica that it should be used as a verb. e.g. He one-timed the ball.
