A Luca is the same as saying a "G" in English. Not sure if it's used only in Argentina or anywhere else. Does anyone know?

I haven't hear lucas as money but in the TV series The Sopranos they used "rock" to mean a million dollars.

In Spain, 500 Euro bills used to be called Bin Ladens, because everybody knew they existed but nobody had ever laid eyes on one...

I have heard this term in Peru. I do not know if it is used somewhere else.
    Una luca = 1000 soles
Una luca verde = 1000 dollars
