caja de velocidades
buenos dias a todos! estoy traduciendo un manual de una sembradora y no puedo encontrar el nnombre tecnico de unas de las partes que componen la caja de velocidades: esas piezas son el zafe de proteccion de la caja y la tuerca registro de caja. espero puedan ayudarme. saludos a todos

Hola! Para "tuerca registro de caja" se me ocurre "regulator nut" http://www.westbrosinc.com/parts/lanair.htm (hay un ejemplo en este link)
El zafe de protección de la caja podría ser "safeguard of the gearbox", pero no estoy segura porque no los encontré en el diccionario técnico, te aconsejo esperes otras opiniones. Hope it helps!

Not that easy to find it out without a diagram that could explain better. Sometimes it's simplier than what we think.
I suggest : regulator nut of gearbox or gearbox regulator nut as on drawings style. Tell me if I'm mistaken.

As somebody previously told to you, the best thing you can do if help is needed urgent on that, is to share a drawing/outline/photo of the gearbox where those terms appear. And that's it. "Tuerca de registro" = "Adjusting screw locknut" (I fully agree if no picture or further explanation is available) "Zafe" It sounds like Argentinian Mechanics' Slang. Anyway my answer is as follows: "Zafe de protección" = "Transmission Overload Protection". It is sometimes adjusted by means of a spring. You can check the last part of my answer at http://www.imet.com.ar/ where the following is written with the photo that appears below these lines.  c) Zafe : Protección de la transmisión (cadenas, caja de velocidades, ejes, distribuidores - dosificadores, etc.) ante sobrecargas.
