Hola!

Muchas veces tengo que traducir folletos del inglés al español respetando la misma cantidad de espacio (ya que un folleto de una hoja con información en ambas carillas está limitado físicamente).
Me gustaría saber si cortan el texto que está demás o lo "adaptan" junto con el cliente?

Conozco casos en que los traductores hacen su trabajo contemplando el espacio. Si es de inglés a español hay que pensar en una reducción del 20%.

Por experiencia como dice Quiwi, tenes que pensar como mínimo en un 20 % mas que se agrega .. asi que anda ajustando las fuentes o achicandolas !!!!

Lo que hacemos por lo general es modificar el interlineado y el interletrado. Si todo esto no alcanza, el mejor recurso es achicar la fuente medio cuerpo o un cuerpo entero.

Ademas de cerrar el espacio entre letras, o entre palabras, tambien podes cerrarlo entre lines como ya te explicaron, otra posibilidad es aunque el cliente no siempre esta de acuerdo cambiar el estilo, digo una regluar por una light, o una bold por una medium, siempre que la fuente tenga esos estlos variados, otra podes tocar un poco la escala horizontal, esta es para tener cuidado poruqe si la tipografia esta aplicada con cuerpo chivo le das de 100% a 55% de escaala horizontal, puede volverse ilegible sobretodo con fuentes medio raras

Sí, sí, a eso me refería, podes bajar la escala horizontal a 95, 90, 85, 80,75% pero no a 55%.. . . . en épocas temparanas a veces metía la pata en los bocetos. . . .Inaceptable. . .

No jamas , en mi vida, solo redibuje unos cuantos caracteres escaneados y pasados por A. Streamline. .
y estos despues fueros como trazados o curvas a un folleto de illustrator, de otro diseñador.
