Was it really originally in Spanish?
Are there any seasons out so that I could see it? I've heard so much about the show.

I saw a preview (it's premiering in Latin American in January, or February, I think) and the scene was quite funny.

Yes, it was originally in Spanish. It was from Colombia and it was titled "Yo soy Betty, la fea". Unsurprisingly, my girlfriend was a big fan and picked apart the American version during the one episode we watched. I tried to take the American version for what it was and I just wasn't impressed...it's quite popular throughout the world, so I am, once again, out of touch.

Actually there have been two Spanish Version : the Colobian Version (Betty la Fea) and another mexican Version (La fea mas bella)

As Scott pointed out .... It has been very famous around the World .. Yet, I hav not had the chance to watch any of them

So, if I haven't seen any of them, but am interested, where should I start? Spanish or English version?

You're right Scott! The first version was Colombian, then Mexican, I think later Chile and Argentina, or Venezuela, I don't remember. There are like 10 different versions around!
The funny thing is I'd never watched any of them 'cause they were in Soap Opera format (airing everyday during daytime) which I hate, but now that they turned it into a series I actually like it!
And I like the slogan from Sony, "she's even uglier in English" heheh!!!

I saw episodes from both the USA and the Colombian version and I enjoyed them both. The american version is much more elaborated and complex, the camera, de characters and the situations are quite different, and it's hard to tell which Betty is uglier :P
