a joke about friend or enema
hola a todos! podrían ayudarme con el siguiente parrafo. Realmente no estoy segura de lalgunas cosas. El cuento es "A very short stort" de Patricia Highsmith y las frases son las siguientes:
"One hot evening in Padua they carried him up onto the roof and he could look out over the top of the town. Luz stayed on night duty for three months. They were glad to let her. When they operated on him she prepared him for the operating table; and they had a joke about friend or enema. He went under the anesthetic holding tight on to himself so he would not blab about anything during the silly, talky time. mi intento: Una tarde calurosa en Padua, lo llevaron hasta la terraza y pudo apreciar la ciudad desde arriba. Luz cumplió la guardia nocturna por tres meses. Ellos estaban felices de habérselo permitido. Cuando ellos lo operaron ella lo preparo para la mesa de operaciones; y bromearon acerca de la amistad o un enema. El cayó bajo el efecto de la anestesia por lo que no podía parlotear durante ese tonto e incoherente momento. saludos  |

Yo creo que estaba a simple vista bien. Tiene sentido el texto término y mantiene la fidelidad con la idea del texto origen. Sólo corregir algunas puntuaciones,pero todo en orden. Considero que quedó bien modulado.

I would have placed more emphasis in the last phrase,for instace, Él cayó bajo el inconfundible efecto de la anestesio por lo que no..... |
