I have found cazatorpedero, but I think that's an obsolete term because modern destroyers do much more.

Yeah!! I would go with destructor too.
I think I saw that name in the game where you have a grid and you have to sink the oponent's ships by calling the coordenates ![]() ![]() A-4....sunk!
