Is anyone familiar with a Spanish game or toy involving a ball(?) and is called something like tontoròn? A friend was describing her roly-poly boss in this way.
Thanks! |

Tontorrón is often used in Spain, but is has nothing to do with a game.
Tonto, tontorrón, tontarrás.....all mean rather silly, stupid,. tontorrón is not all that unfriendly in Spain. These are translations have found for tontorrón: silly-billy which is a bit old-fashioned nowadays dingbat cuckoo wally dunderhead I don't know if you referred to that.

Thank you. I just found out it is not a game she is referring to, but a name that is given for when an insect flies around and around a light at night until it falls to the ground. Apparently it must be somewhat colloquial., maybe for her region.
