HOLA OTRA VEZ -Otra duda aca- con la palabra contractors, here goes the context:
The FARC also said yesterday they would hold three captive US defense contractors for 60 years in retaliation for the January sentencing of a rebel extradited to Washington. yo lo interpreto como contratistas, pero does not make sense  !!!as usual. thanks a lot |

No entiendo mucho de estas cosas pero infiero por el texto que las fuerzas de defensa norteamericana tienen contratistas (no asimilados), que efectuan labores no militares para dichas fuerzas, alguno de los cuales fueron tomados como rehenes por la FARC
