Hi!
Could somebody explain to me what's a "remote news-gathering unit"? Is it a team of correspondents? Is it a kind of device?

That term would refer to the van, helicopter, SUV, etc. that a news team (cameraman, reporter, on-site producer, etc.) would use to cover a story where it is taking place...for any story that is site-specific.
I found a direct translation that would be "unidad remota de captaci�n de noticias". It is very literal, and I imagine that many organizations use other terminology.
