Default Redneck

I was expalining the humor of Jeff Foxworthy to my wife and had to admit I have never heard of any Spanish equivalent to the word "redneck" except "naco". Has anyone come across another term in Spanish that provides a similar meaning?

P.S. If the word brings any jokes to mind please share.

Joel

You might be a redneck if...

your dog cost more than your truck.

They were so funny. Not.

I stole this off of a website. It made me laugh at times...especially number one.

Ways to tell if a redneck has been working on a computer

10. The monitor is up on blocks.

9. Outgoing faxes have tobacco stains on them.

8. The six front keys have rotted out.

7. The extra RAM slots have Dodge truck parts installed in them.

6. The numeric keypad only goes up to six.

5. The password is "Bubba".

4. The CPU has a gun rack mount.

3. There is a Skoal can in the CD-ROM drive.

2. The keyboard is camouflaged.

And, The Number One Way To Tell If A Redneck Has Been Working On A Computer...

The mouse is referred to as a "critter".

in Argentina, it's the opposite of "cheto" whatever you wanna call it.

Quoting Gretchen Wilson (country singer):

"I'm a redneck woman, I ain't no high class girl
I'm just a product of my raising and I say "hey ya'll and yeehaw"

About the term «redneck» :
By looking in "The Concise Oxford English Dictionary" I found:
" A working-class white person from the southern US, especially a politically conservative one".
Then "The Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary" reads:
"a white member of the Southern rural laboring class".
I am actually living in the Southern region of the United States and judging from what both my wife(a native English speaker and born in this country as well) and other people I've met up to now, they have a synonym for "redneck", which is "white trash". In both cases the term is considered highly disparaging and denigrant towards the person whom we might be making allusion to. Overall, we know that this is a non-educated country worker.
To my understanding, we may have in Spanish one or more equivalents that can be used as a translated term. But, it does vary from one Latin country to another. Therefore, it depends on which country you are coming from.
In my country(HONDURAS), the meaning of this term in English, might be equivalent to say "el que viene bajando del cerro" or "persona cerril" or just " cerrado..balín.. ignorante." -As you are already guessing.. these terms are very rude to be used. By using them, it unquestionably calls for a fight.

RAUL.

Default Ahh...

I knew what a redneck was. (I lived in Florida. And now in Minnesota. I seen a lotta a rednecks. jijijiji) But they are difficult to explain without sounding like a bad person. But Raul's definition- pretty accurate!
If we could insert a picture here of a little redneck family, that would be funnier.
