Acronyms and posssesives with apostrophe

Is there a better option than the one below to put acronyms in quote marks oif they have to be followed by an apostrophe indicating possession? There are too many marks together.

The team told me that it may work, but it certainly changes the style. Italics and marks are not perfectly replaceable.

What about using an "of" construction instead of the genitive case?

Sometimes it even sounds more natural.
