    Hello,

    I would like to know if it is ok to use the word "upon" in a thesis statemen due that I have always seen "effect on" instead. i.e.

    LINEAR SHRINKAGE EFFECTS UPON A SANDY LOAM SAVANNA SOIL PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
    LINEAR SHRINKAGE EFFECTS ON A SANDY LOAM SAVANNA SOIL PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

    Which one is correct?
