Default Help Please!

I am trying to helping a friend translate a form, the form is for finding indivuals to help as volunteers working with children ages 10-16. She is seeking spanish speaking volunteers so we need to have the form in spanish. Is there anyone on this forum that could possibly help with translating the sentence below? My Spanish is not as good as it once was!!! Any help will be highly appreciated. Thank you so much.
Merryl

Also, how do you say: 'Physical Fitness' in Spanish? Thanks

The above named individual is volunteering to be a Pathfinder Staff person. The candidate, if approved, will work in close supervision with boys and girls ages 10-16 of a Pathfinder Club in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We value your judgment. Since your comments will be held in strict confidence, please withhold nothing favorable or unfavorable that might be helpful to the evaluating committee.

I hope this helps. Please note that I can't access the accents or the letter "enhe" so you'll have to add them.

Regards

Nira: You've made a great job here, but I added the accents, the letter "enhe" and changed some words to make it sound "more spanish"

Be careful with the word "exploradores" because in Scouting (Boy Scouts of America) there is an Exploring program, and the Pathfinders of the Seventh Day Adventist Church could be confused with the Explorers of the BSA. If this were in a Spanish speaking country, fine. However, since we are talking about an English speaking country (and possibly the USA), be careful.

Thanks for your explanation Thomas. I didn't know about that. Anyway, I left Pathfinder on the translation as well, because if that's the name of the Club I think we should keep the name untranslated. What do YOU suggest Thomas?

Thanks again!!

Thank you, Thank you!!! Everyone, this was so helpful. Oh I'm so thankful, I truly appreciate your help.

Just for clarification, in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, the Pathfinder's Club is translated to: 'Club the Conquistadores' and this is used in Spanish countries.

I can't tell you how appreciative I am for everyones help. God bless!!!

I'd suggest "Club de los Conquistadores (Pathfinders)". using the name in both languages to avoid confusion.

I've seen some very unprofessional attempts at translating Scouting terms into Spanish with bad results. Why? Many of the terms exist already. One exception that comes to mind is "Court of Honor". In the BSA it's an awards ceremony, but in Latin America a "Corte de Honor" is a special committee meeting, often at the national level.

I should add that "Exploradores" is the name of a youth group sponsored by another church. The Pentecostal? The name in English of the group is "Royal Rangers" and in Spanish it's called "los Exploradores del Rey".

Merryl... so glad we could help!
Thomas... you don't cease to surprise me! Thanks for sharing! I completly agree with you when you suggest using both terms, in English and in Spanish.

Best regards to you both!
