need translation of simple questions

I am trying to ask my g/f friend a couple of questions but I dont think that the online translators are helping.

I wanted to ask simple questions like:
do you know her from cusco?
I came up with
usted le conoce de cusco.

and something like:
Vanessa is a good friend of mine but I dont know any of her friends from cusco, so what can you tell me about her? what is she like at home? how would you describe her?

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with this. Thank you

Gracias mucho, I am trying to talk to all of her friends from home but its hard to even get a conversation started.I think this forum will be a big help.
