    Default the conman thing

Son dos personas hablando de negocios e inversiones.

I wasn't doing the conman thing. I wasn't telling you that there's no opportunity so that the scarcity would get you to implore me for a way in.

¿Qué puede significar the conman thing?

¿Qué puede significar the conman thing?
The verb "to con" means to deceive or trick someone , usually in financial matters, but also in other ways in order to accomplish a goal by falsifying or exaggerating a situation.

It is also a noun, which means the act of "conning" another person with falsehoods or exaggerations. EX: "He deceived me! The whole plan was a con."

It comes from the word "confidence". A conman is a person who gains another person's trust, or confidence, in order to deceive them.

So the "wasn't doing the conman thing" means the person was not trying to trick or deceive.

Thank you vnik_hey,... and thank you gentle

There are a couple of other uses of con.

We all know about pro(s) and con(s).

Another, fairly common use of con relates to a person who has been convicted of a crime (a convict or inmate); or ex-con after being released.
