    In UK, a limited liability company is called a private limited company by shares
    In 2002, the UK legislated limited liability partnerships ("LLPs") into existence, which more closely proximate LLCs in the USA.

    Just in case in the future you need the Spanish Translation for Limited Liability Conmpany, the translation is:

    SOCIEDAD DE RESPONSABILIDAD LIMITADA. and we identify this type by S.R.L

    You want the abbreviation: 'Ltd'. It is used everywhere here (uk).

    The correct term is just to say a Limited Company. A private company will be referred to as an Ltd. A public company will be referred to as a PLC (Public Limited Company).
