Hi guys,
has anyone read AND seen this movie? I have tried relentlessly to finish it, but I just don’t seem to make it. Should I skip the book and just rent the movie? ![]()

But I don´t think I´ve heard of it. What´s the deal?
The short answer to your question is that if you watch the movie before reading the book, you might as well never read the book, because the movie images will be stuck in your head as you read the book, such as characters, etc. |

Hello again. "House of Sand and Fog" was written by Andre Dubus III. I think the movie came out in 2003. Here is a quick blurb for kicks:
Three fragile yet determined people become entangled in an escalating crisis over the same small house. Combining unadorned realism with profound empathy, House of Sand and Fog is a devastating exploration of the American Dream gone awry. It is part of Oprah's book club
