it's a typo, the correct spelling would be "perdidamente"
I'm falling helplessly / madly in love with you.

She´s right, it´s a typo; You should also consider the register and the context of the text, for example, the expression "be head over heels (in love)"is a much more informal option to your translation...best !!!;)
Most commonly used in the US is hopelessly in love, as in "he's a hopeless romantic."
