need this translated please!!!
"se me durmio la mano :s"
and its coming from a colombian speaker. When i tried the translation with the ":s" its totally different from just "se me durmio la mano" and also if it is ment to be like " 'name' se me durmio la mano :s" all show different results
thanks
khreed
Re: need this translated please!!!
I must not be understanding something. Se me durmió la mano is just like in English, my hand went to sleep. What's up with the :s? Is that a special feature of a translator program?
Re: need this translated please!!!
Could :s be some sort of keyboard "smiley face?"
Re: need this translated please!!!
Yup.
:-S or :s means: "I'm confused, puzzled, perplexed."

Re: need this translated please!!!
OK. I'll bite. khreed "tried the translation" with, I assume, a translation website. How is it going to know an emoticon from punctuation? But it seemed to make a difference.
Re: need this translated please!!!
yep thats wat i was wondering because when i use a online translator. And I include the ":s" it changes the whole sentence for some weird reason. And thanks for all your replys
Re: need this translated please!!!
Heck, I could put that on just about all idioms from Puerto Rico.
Re: need this translated please!!!
Example:
I have poor circulation in my hand, and there are times when I wake up, because my hand has gone to sleep over the rise of the pillow.
OR
"pins and needles".
