The spanish words for pan and homo sapiens?
Helo
I wanted to find out if the word pan in spanish can refers to the greek goat god. I know pan means bread in spanish, and I have found a reference to the spanish word fauno being used to refer to the goat god pan eg the title of the film 'Laberinto del Fauno', however I haven't found anything that specifically supports the use of pan in the spanish language to refer to the greek goat god?
Also I only found Hombre as the spanish word for homo sapiens sapiens, is this correct or do the spanish also have a word(s) to represent sapiens?
Regards

It would appear from this Spanish wiki article that Homo Sapiens is the same in Spanish.

(I realize that wiki is not the best resource.. sorry, its the best I could do!)
There's a Spanish wiki article about Pan, too, but I managed to find another site about Pan in Spanish as well.

thank you very much for proving that both homo sapiens and pan are used directly in spanish, and sure wiki is a good enough source for most cases. Have a great day.

"Pan" in spanish can refers to the greek goat god "YES"
"fauno" is a roman demigod of the fields and forests, some equivalent of "satyr" Greek
homo sapiens, in spanish, is used exactly: "homo sapiens".
