Could someone please help me with a sentence?

Hello!
I'm wondering if someone could be so kind as to help me translate a sentence into Spanish. It's a short note for a painting, and will stand alone without other context than the picture itself.
The " thick whiskers" refer to those of a tiger, and "gouache" is the same in Spanish. Thank you very much!

White gouache used solely for the thick whiskers, all else watercolour and white paper.

Hi Micu, here's my attempt:

Se usó gouache blanco sólo para las patillas, lo demás es témpera y papel blanco.

As far as I know, 'gouache' (we use it in Spanish) is a technique for painting using water, much the same as 'témpera', but I fail to know the difference between them.

Perhaps I can use "acuarela" in exchange for témpera.

I hope gouache in the different languages refer to the same thing. In Sweden and England (and as far as I know, also in France), "gouache" is the name of a certain type of paint, like "oil" or "acrylics". It is used with water as you say, and resembles watercolour in many ways, only more opaque. Témpera I believe contains egg yolk or some such thing. I'm not sure how the terms are used for the painting technique..

hi MIcu, gouache is not used in Spain.

I suppose we would use tempera, as the other word is unknown. It seems to be different from acuarela, have a look here:

Perhaps the word "gouache" or "guache" is rare and basically only used by people who paint with it..?
I have never tried tempera/egg tempera, but I'm certain that watercolour, gouache and tempera - in the English sense - are quite different from each other. (I paint in watercolour and gouache myself.) They are all water-based, but then the compounds differ in the different paints.

Could it be so that "témpera/temperas" in Spanish is the general term for all water-based or water-soluble painting mediums?

So I would suggest:

I'd just like to share this... In my Spanish-Swedish dictionary (gouache is the same as in English), this is the entry for "aguada".
See no. 2. The words before "gouache" read "painting, about technique and artwork".

Strangely enough, there is no entry the other way around (for the word "gouache" from Swedish to Spanish)..

So aguada could be an alternative to gouache in Spanish.
