Hello everyone,
could you please tell me how to translate "thread" into Spanish? The paragraph reads as "the screw has 1" diameter - 12 threads by inch".
Could be "hilo"? "Filete"?

Qué te parece "paso"? Pensando que se refiere a la rosca...

Daniel
Hi Daniel!
Thank you for your help, but "paso" I guess that is the distance between two threads...How would you translate "Thread"?
I would say roscas, this being plural because it is more than 1.
Hi Ceide!
But "rosca" is only one per screw...

I hope to have helped!!
Dear People,
thank you all for your help. I guess that the best option in this case, is "filete".
"Hilo" it is used too, according to my friend who is Mechanical Engineer.
Kindest regards,
Jack
Yo lo traduciría por ´vueltas'
Saludos
Eulalia
I agree with Eulalia, I would translate "threads" as "vueltas"

Ami

flores colores y mucho amor!!:D
saludos
