it refers to the value of a certain name brand, so I believe it could be translated as
valor de marca ;)

Whenever you are dealing with marketing literature, "brand equity" should be translated as "identidad de marca" and it refers to the intrinsic and mostly intangible value of a well-known brand. In a financial context, it's considered an intangible asset difficult to measure in a Balance Sheet. In this case it could be translated as "activo de marca". It´s all about context!;)
