Tags never appear as content that can be translated. Even more, it's hard to modify content inside a tag when it happens directly in a CAT tool.
The best way to protect tags is with stricter QA settings.
I have a client that has 2 HTMLS to translate and wants some content to be blocked from translating.
Which QA strict settings could be for example?
Is that content in tag format? If that is the case, there is nothing else to do.
You could protect content by converting it into tag, but it won't be very visible if the CAT tool simplifies tags. The best option would be to lock the segments with that content.
All CAT tools have QA settings that you can change and some others even allow you to create your own pack of QAs. Check whatever you find under the tags section if applicable.
