Problem cleaning a TTX file
Hi
I've spent several hours trying to save the target language of a ttx document created from Word. To start with, it had all the Word tags messed up, but even solving this problem it wouldn't clean up, complaining about an unspecified "tag problem". It took me a very long time to realize that the problem was that the translation said '300ºF' instead of '300<symbol styleid="0x1" character="0xf0b0"/>F'. How could the Tag Editor be so sensitive to something apparently so minor?
Cheers.

Re: Problem cleaning a TTX file
I know from experience that in tag editor tags should remain unchanged if you want to avoid problems when cleaning the file. That is why you usually need proofreading of the cleaned file afterwards.
A faster way of fixing tags, instead of checking one by one, is to create the monolingual ttx file from scratch and run the translate to fuzzy feature to get it bilingual again. Tag editor will stop when there is a mismatching tag. You fix it, and then clean it.

Thanks for the tip Andreap, I'll try it next time and see how it goes.
Cheers.
