Can be translated like "...And so together they grown up"
Its like saying that they grow old together...

I agree with Matias.
Madurar is the verb for "to mature" and is used to say one has matured or grown up. "...y asi juntas maduraron" is in the past tense and it means "they" matured or grew up together.
