Quark Xtensions are plugins that add functionality to your QuarkXpress. They are very simply to install and they usually appear as a new item in the top menu

Do you have a listo of available plugins for Quark?
Re: How to use the RECOSOFT tool in Indesign?
Hi Rodrigo
There are hundreds of XTensions plugins available (some free, others available for purchase from third parties). You can search them in the Quark site Extending QuarkXPress
among other useful sites.
If you are a developer, you can develop your own to fit a specific need as well.
BTW, searching the Quark site I've found an XTension that lets you work in all right to left languages like Arabic, Farsi and others.
Re: How to use the RECOSOFT tool in Indesign?
Do such recreation Xtensions exist for FrameMaker too?
Re: How to use the RECOSOFT tool in Indesign?
One more question: do you know how to use the settings displayed by RECOSOFT before launching the conversion? When I leave them by default, I sometimes get weird disconnected text boxes that cut paragraphs or even phrases in half.

You have to check them in detail, but as far as I know, the default settings gives you the best results.
Re: How to use the RECOSOFT tool in Indesign?
I was thinking about ignoring everything that would convert as link (to speed up the conversion...it's a big file). Where should I have to go to do that?
Thanks!
Re: How to use the RECOSOFT tool in Indesign?
I prefer to divide the document to reduce the time for conversion.
Re: How to use the RECOSOFT tool in Indesign?
I just tried it: I divided the 400 pages long pdf into 8 and converted each sub-pdf. The conversion was indeed pretty fast.
Thanks
