Re: xBench for QA in Chinese
Hi there,
Since every Chinese character you can type exists, theoretically there are no orthographic errors when you write, so unlike latin origin languages, there is no such spell checker that can verify your writing.
However, there does exist some sort of grammar checker out there that checks the combination of characters typed, but there is a countless combination of Chinese characters which makes it impossible when running the machine checkers.
Particularly, when you read archaic writings such as poems or essays which are still very common and cited nowadays.
To sum up, unfortunately, we have to stick to the old school when it comes to the proofreading task, lol

Oh, the good ol' way. No wonder machine translation seems to suffer when dealing with Chinese as well.

Thank you, iyuanobi!
I won't insist then on running a spell checker. However, when testing how all features work with Chinese, I have an extraordinary amount of false positive errors when leaving the ALL UPPERCASE check. Is there anything I might be doing wrong?
