Re: What's an .ICML file?
Hello agustinab,
It's a format that InDesign should handle and Memsource as well. Did you convert it to .idml or .indd?
Re: What's an .ICML file?
I just had to see some of these.
It's from the Adobe software called InCopy https://fileinfo.com/extension/icml
There's this article too: http://www.english-spanish-translato...ivos-icml.html
Best 'o Luck!
Re: What's an .ICML file?
I believe MemSource should show some way to handle this format if you scroll down the several options offered whenever you try to upload input for processing. Hope you find something to share! :p

Hi danielr!
Thank you for your response! I thought the same but it seems that InDesign doesn't open .icml files.
I managed to upload them to Memsource successfully and they don't seem to need any pre or post-processing.
Thanks!!

I did!!
There's an option, as you mentioned, that allows you to choose different formats. When you go to "New" and scroll down, there's an option called "File type". When you click on it, a drop-down menu under 'import file as' shows. InCopy is listed there.
Thanks so much for your help!

Indesign doesn't open icml files by default. You have to import them using the Place command. Placed file will work as an external link, like images do.

So, memSource natively supports InCopy files? Interesting.
Re: What's an .ICML file?
I have recently started a project with .icml files that link to the .indd. When analysing both kinds of files, I don't get quite the exact duplicate. Is it possible that the files are not identical?
