Does anybody have any experience in alignment of source and target text coming from MIF files? If so, is it pretty similar to the job needed for a simple DOC or RTF file? Thx! ;)

I would suggest you to create TagEditor files from the MIF file with S-Tagger, then you can start the alignment.Quote:

Thanks Vizconde! I did an experiment and realized that with the S-Tagger you end up with an RTF.TTX version of the file. In any case, it's different from what I had been told: to somewhat turn the MIF files into RTF to process them through Workbench.
At least, and with the RTF.TTX files I still have the chance to use TagEditor which might help preserve much more the formatting of the source file. I am still scared about some potential hazards, but I will try to test it and let you guys know about the outcome of this experiment.
With S-Tagger you can create either TTX files or RTF files(with tw4winExternal and internal).Quote:

so, you would do the alignment as with any rtf file, I donīt think you can do it directly from the mif files...
