Actually VERY ententaining and I highly recommend it, but it's got the worst ending I've ever seen. It is actually worth paying the ticket just to see how weird it ends.
I'll be waiting for your comments.
I read the book, really creepy...I am not going to see the film.

well... if someone at the forum has not seen the movie yet... :(you told them the ending, maria laura! :D but you're right. I can't think of a good example right now (but I know I will remember some later), but I hate that kind of movies where the story is going one way and suddenly, 5 minutes before the credits, a sudden turn -or a sudden ending- leaves you wondering why you wasted the $12-15 on the ticket, or the time you could have spent in a better way!Quote:

Mmmmm when it comes to bad endings, I can think of War of the Worlds (C'MON!!! I was REALLY enjoying the film until the ending) and I'am Legend (I really think it would be a great nominee for a 'Worst ending ever Award'). Two of the most disappointing films I've ever seen =(
I loved the mist!!! I actually didn't think the ending was that weird...I didn't quite see it coming but now that I think about it, it must have been a hard ending to write. Laura, it is a novella written by Steven King, and although i have never read it, I understand that it ends differently in the book. I was watching an interview with the director and he actually said that Steven King liked the ending and said, "I wish I would have thought of that." Has anyone read the book??
A bit off topic, but I was so let down by the Sopranos finale. the Lost writers have already assured viewers that the Lost ending will be better.
As for movies, the ending of I am Legend really was bad. I didnt really enjoy any of it, but the ending, yeah...

The ending of The Mist is the BEST part!!! In fact, the characters are so dumb and the plot is so basic that during the whole movie you just want "the mist" to swallow everyone, so the world would get rid of that bunch of morons!! And then the ending is kind of surprising...
I agree with Eze, War of the Worlds has a terrible ending, not because of what happens to the ETs, but because of what happened to the human main characters!!

Really? I caught it on DVD and I thought it was quite good. The ending is very dramatic. You can only imagine what went through the guy's head after he makes the decision he makes and sees where that leads him. I didn't think it was a bad ending.Quote:

I wouldn´t say it´s "the worst" but it´s in the group. I didn´t like the whole move but the ending was so foreseeable and silly...

I agree with Analaura. It's ending was really a disaster! I've heard that there was one version of this movie (available on dvd) which had an alternative ending. Is this true? If so, I'll be really interested in watching it; anything but the ending from the cinema!

Nope, it is even worse. I don't remember too well, because I saw it only once, but I have it on dvd. It was something like: the main mutant came to rescue his girlfriend (the one Will Smith's character had in his lab). The "love scene" between the mutants is sooooo bad. Believe me: if you didn't like the ending, you would have hated the other one.
Mirrors' ending is also pretty bad. Poor Kiefer!! (I'll be posting more comments on the "Mirrors" thread.)
