Hi everebody Will you give me five countries fames for tourism? Thanks a lot
I'd love to go to China.
Regarding countries famous because of their tourist attractions, I'd say Egypt, USA, France, Brasil and UK.
I would say Holland, India, Isreal, Japan and Italy.
Well, I would simply say...Argentina!!! You have all the landscapes you can think of...and more!:p
1. Bolivia
2. Syria
3. Romania
4. Switzerland
5. Wales
I guess it depends on the kind of environment you are looking four. If you wish to be surrounded by sun, sand and tropical beaches most CaribbeanIslands will do (Hawaii would also be a great choice). If you want to visit an exited and dynamic city I think Paris would be fantastic; If you are a Nature lover, I would recommend a trip to La Gran Sabana, en Venezuela: beautiful landscape, exotic fauna, waterfalls and abundant vegetation. Finally, if you love museums, most big cities in Europe have interesting museums.
Wherever you go, hope you have a good time. :)
Spain is a beautiful country for sure, depending on the weather you are used to, it can be pretty hot.
Madrid is a beautiful, modern and warm city, very busy but then you can't miss Toledo where time has stopped and you can see beautiful castles, narrow streets and flowers and beautiful arrangements hunging from one balcony to the other in the narrow streest. The temperature is pretty high there, I was in May and it got up to 42 Celcius but the humidity is so low you barely feel it. The food...to die for!! Can't miss it!
If you go to Spain, you must certainly visit Toledo.
I agree that Toledo is very worthwhile. But Madrid can't sniff Barcelona. Don't miss the following:
1. Barcelona (1,000,000 times cooler than Madrid)
2. Sevilla (with a side trip to the amazing alhambra in Cordoba)
3. Segovia (almost as cool as Toledo. the aqueduct alone is worth a visit)
Though in my humble opinion, the best thing you can do while in Spain is get on a two-hour ferry to Morocco. Now that's a trip!
I say, in no particular order and I am not saying I have been to all:
Peru - for machupichu (spelling?)
Paris, France
London, England
USA - for Disney World, New York City, Hawaii, or Alaska
Italy - Venice
I recommend:
Uruguay!- Jose Ignacio
Yes, Why not choose to go to Spain, I've travelled there before Cadiz and Mallorca are the most beautiful places I've seen. With pleasant climate, cheap hotels and rich culture.
I agree with you! Spain is a good choice to travel to. It is really a beautiful country in the world to visit.Quote:

The Basque country, too. San Sebastian is possibly the most beautiful city in the region, but Bilbao is worth visiting for the Guggenheim museum and old town, and the little seaside village of Hondarabbia. Outside Madrid are towns like Segovia, Toledo, and Avila, Toledo is probably the most famous. And Andalucia in the south, Grenada for the Alhambra, and Cordoba is very charming. Seville is very touristic but the old quarter is fantastic and you have to visit the bull ring for a tour!
The Lonely Planet guide books are always an excellent source of info and they tend to be honest, too—some guidebooks manage to find charm everywhere, but LP tells it like it is, so you don't waste time or money. As for taking the train, I found buses to actually be better. They are quite cheap and reasonably comfortable. A friend and I took the bus from Madrid to Grenada, and then travelled by bus all over Andalucia, and it was fine.
Missed the Picasso museum in Barcelona! I spent too much time in the old town... Santander!
I like nature. I like to travel all of the world. I’ve been somewhere. But most strikingly attractive place is Spain. I’ve made a travel to Spain last year. I stay in a Madrid hotel around 2 weeks. I tried to make around over the whole Madrid. I could say that it is a real beautiful and modern city. But if you went to Costa del Sol, you will be in another feeling. Sunshine, sandy and Blue Sea, a good relax place for the younger and older. I recommend you to choose Spain as your resort for the next holiday. I am sure you will find some uncontemplated thing. :D
Gee so many people can´t be wrong. I have a cousin who is moving to Spain in a couple of weeks.. After reading these posts I decided to let him know that I will pay him a visit for sure sometime in the future. :)
Regards
I think once you're in Spain, you can't miss hotel in tenerife and mallorca. They are all unforgettable places to visit and I'd love to go back for awhile. If you're in Barcelona be sure to check out the Picasso museum as well and I think the best way to get around Spain is by train, and you can see the beautiful scene along the way.
Have a good trip in Spain!
For sure!!! You should come to my country, Argentina... awesome places to visit!!!
weird, i was looking at the wiki for tourism and 4 of the top ten most visited tourist attractions are Disney parks! Is it really that great??
ahahhahah, I don´t agree (neither with Google or Disney!!).
I wouldn´t even rank it in the top ten. It´s fun, but I think there are millions of other places more interesting to visit...
any other opinion out there?
It depends on what you are looking for, Ana Laura...What I enjoyed the most when I went to Disney were the dolphins...and Epcot centre was really interesting...specially the Kennedy Centre where there was a three dimensional theatre were you could actually feel what an astronaut experiences when about to take off in a rocket...Awesome...!
My friend, who is 36 and went to Disneyworld for part of his honeymoon, made a point that was interesting and reasonably valid: Disneyworld really is magical. Once you enter the park, you are transported to a completely different place that resembles nothing else in this world--not even other theme pars. Myself, I haven't been there for 16 years or so, and I don't think I would go at this point in my life, but his argument is valid, I guess.
I would like to visit India, Egypt, Australia, Peru, Costa Rica...
Croatia is now on my list...to return. It was so beautiful and it has mountains, coast, extensive forests, castles and other installations that go back thousands of years....beautiful and relaxing!
I would go to Disneyworld and stay there for like a month visiting all the water parks and artificial beaches, staying at different hotels, and buying useless stuff from gift shops, and then I'd die a happy girl.Quote:

Colombia- I've been twice, and I loved it. It's diverse in terms of geography, cultures, climates, etc. In my opinion, Bogota has to be one of the most underrated cities on the planet. Then there's the Caribbean coast, which has spectacular beaches, especially in Parque Nacional Tayrona, and Medellin, which is another major city with lots of cultural attractions, Cali, which for me has a near-perfect climate, Cartagena, which is like a big open-air museum of the colonial period... I could go on and on.
Mexico- Mexico City ranks among the top 5 cities I've been to.
Brazil
Venezuela
France
Poland
Spain
Russia
Egypt
Turkey
Iran
India
Japan
Cambodia
etc...
Correction: the alhambra ("the red" in Arab, if you go there you will see why) is an awesome and ancient complex of buildings and gardens. It is however located in Granada, not in Córdoba.
Sounds like a great place!!! Have you been there?
The places I am dying to visit now are Malaysia, Morocco, India, Japan and China.
Thing is, I always prefer having a local or at least someone who has resided in the country so that I don't only get a tourist perspective...but clearly it’s not always easy and so this is not to say if you offer me a trip to any of these tomorrow on my own I will not take it!!
As for recommendations, I agree with Matt on the beauty of Colombia. Beyond the fact that I am Colombia myself, everywhere I've visited I've found people with parallel admiration towards Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena, Parque Tayrona (which I myself have not been to) and so on. Then there is also Israel that comes to mind...great country with rich culture, amazing history and people and it’s just incredible that in such a small country you’re able to find so much beauty in general!
I will choose :
India
Peru(or any South American countries)
Turkey
Spain
Egypt
Yes, Why not choose to go to Spain, I've travelled there before Cadiz and Mallorca are most beautiful place their and the climate region are also good
