Utf-16
Hello there
I remember when I was 5-6 years old, and while playing football with my friends, wondering what was the difference between UTF-8 and UTF-16, like any other normal child. Ah, those were the days, with mysteries around every corner!
Now you can find out, if not all, at least a few of the differences between these two exciting encoding schemes: UTF-8 vs UTF-16
Enjoy!
Cheers.

Re: Utf-16
Nice article Pablo. Finally, now I don't have to act as if I seem to understand whenever someone tells me that there is a problem with the Unix econding system.

Re: Utf-16
Hi Federico
It's not a Unix encoding system, but a Universal encoding system (that's precisely what the U in UTF stands for). After you read the article, you'll find out that Trados (which runs only in Windows) uses UTF-16 for the encoding of their non-binary files. That makes these files a little bit extra difficult to work with.
Cheers.

Re: Utf-16
Thanks Pablo, that makes everything more clear. Every time I hear about UTF I hear an explanation about Unix. I'll take another look at the article and check a little bit more, it seems interesting now that I do have a proper introduction to the subject.
