Simultaneous Interpretation
I noticed there weren't any threads dealing with this unique and specialized area of translation. I work for a company in Miami that specializes in conference interpretation. Contact me with your resume or your conference needs.
What's the best job that you've done?
I spent a week listening to Japanese interpretation of a conference on Netsuke (kimono adornment) design, history, myth, etc. That was probably my favorite of the many conferences I've provided for.
Let us know!

Re: Simultaneous Interpretation
Hi John,
Welcome to the forum! and thanks for sharing your experience with us.
I have many favorites, I can't think of any right now but I really enjoyed one conference that had to do with a food supplement.
I did not have time to prepare myself cause it was one last minute job request but it turned out ok and I really learned a lot as well.
I have also posted in another thread one of my worst experiences... I was translating a date and the year 1982 kept coming to my mind in French....couldn't find the English at all!!! what a moment! eventually it came and maybe it took only seconds but to me it was like days!;)

:)
Travelling with a group of spanish artists to berlin for a "spanish culture festival" ... and one year later to Cracow (Poland)... I still can't believe I was paid for having such a good time... Last year they went to Budapest and had to change the translator because I don't spek hungarian. But I went there anyway as a friend. Great people...
