Normally, we'd say "you took down all the pictures and ran away burning". But in a song, I'm not sure that is so important, and it might even add meaning the way it is. We use "to break down" to mean someone begins to cry.

I guess this is a song in spanish and you are translating it to english so if i had that lil peace of the spanish song i would be able to help you a lil bit more. But so far it sounds great man =p
