Re: hello, do you think you can spear a couple of minutes with this message
do you think that you can translate it word for word becasue it sounds like the person is asking for money.

I corrected the mistakes in Spanish so you can run it through a machine translator and get the gist of it.
Please remember that translation is not a free service. Someone might translate one e-mail from your lover to help you out, but you cannot consistently keep requesting this. Consider taking a Spanish course or hiring a translator.
Good luck with it!

Yes, that's true, Sheldon. The main ideas of this e-mail are:
1. The person thinks she's gonna move with her aunt.
2. She's asking for money from you to make a party for her birthday, and then she will send you photos.
3. Finally, she asks what you are doing now and if you are thinking about her. She's expecting for an answer by tomorrow morning.
I dont' want to intefere with your personal thoughts (and I really don't know the relationship you have with this girl), but please be careful. As Saidz and Vicente have pointed out, it would be a good idea for you to take Spanish lessons, if you are planning to continue this relationship seriously.
Good luck!

Re: hello, do you think you can spear a couple of minutes with this message
Hi Sheldon,
I was a bit reluctant to interfere, after all it's none of my business.
BUT
she does give me a very, very bad impression.
And then, asking for $220 just like that...
Are you a millionaire ?
Think twice mate !
Frank.

Re: hello, do you think you can spear a couple of minutes with this message

Hi sheldon, here an advice of a woman: do NOT send this woman any more money!
She is asking you for money all the time. And ONLY for money. Please don't be so naive as to think she is really interested. I am sorry if you like her, but this is just too silly.
Give it a try, tell her you can't spare the money, let's see what she says.;)
I can tell you already: she will try to convince you and will talk about some fancy **** photos she is going to take. Let us know.

Re: hello, do you think you can spear a couple of minutes with this message
Hi Sheldon!
Well, in this email she says she apologizes for asking for money again. She says this is the last time she is going to do this and that as she doesn't want to be embarrased in front of her friends she is going to put off the party for tomorrow, so if you could just send her the 200 dolars. She also says she should have asked you first about this matter, and that she won't ask for money again.
She adds she's going to send you some photos tomorrow and that her folks say hi. She also asks for some photos from you so she can show them to her folks.
She asks what you are doing today.
Well, honestly I know this is not my business at all, but you should be careful with this woman. I´m sorry, but she is obviously interested in your money. Try not to send her money this time and see what happens next. ;)
Please, let us know, we are a bit concerned about this situation.
Saludiños,
Bel :)

I hate to be a gossip, but did you write to her? Her brazen nature is really quite striking.

Re: hello, do you think you can spear a couple of minutes with this message

Re: hello, do you think you can spear a couple of minutes with this message
For starters, resolve to try not to cry just a whole lot over people who are using you. We all fall in that trap once in a while, but we can try not to do it too much.
It's been suggested not to offer advice in a forum unless it is requested, so I didn't say anything when I translated one of yours.

Re: hello, do you think you can spear a couple of minutes with this message
Hi,
As a hispanic woman, I found this offensive for someone to be asking you money from far away. In the hispanic cultures you don't ask for money to a man unless he is your husband or already living together and there is a necessity in the home, like the wife asking for money to buy food or diapers for the child. A woman that is with her boyfriend not living in her home, doesn't ask a boyfriend for money to do her own party. When people from other countries ask money to be sent from a faraway love, that is a tactic to use people. She might even have already her love over there asking her to ask you for money. Even family members and friends might tell her, "ask him for money"... Be careful, and I didn't mean to intrude or offend, but it cringed me when I saw this. I also saw it in other threads here.

Re: hello, do you think you can spear a couple of minutes with this message

-
Re: hello, do you think you can spear a couple of minutes with this message
Is her name Yinet. She has a boyfriend!
-
Re: hello, do you think you can spear a couple of minutes with this message
her name is Yissel Abreu Martinez. do you know her
-
Re: hello, do you think you can spear a couple of minutes with this message
I am sorry to tell you she is scamming a lot of men under different names and pictures on different websites. The message is the same and her style of writing. It's always the same topic and asking for money! Try calling her home phone number. That's if she gave it to you.

Re: hello, do you think you can spear a couple of minutes with this message
If you watched CNBC investigation reports a few months ago, there are very similar scams going on. If this is any similar, "Yissel Abreu Martinez" or "Dolly" or whoever writes these e-mails and gets the money, probably does not really exist. It is generally not even a woman. In one investigation I watched, the "beautiful woman" who befriended the guy and sent her pictures and conducted a lot of correspondence was supposedly a U.K. bussiness woman who flies all over the world, while her attorney takes care of her affairs while she is abroad. Unfortunately she broke her leg while in Thailand and needed money immediately as she could not get in touch with her attorney ... she was in the hosiptal and had to pay for her operation. So she gets $2,000 from the US person. Then more correspondence..finally she makes him a business proposition for investment. By that time, he informed CNBC. CNBC went to London to meet her, instead meets the attorney who apparently got his law degree from London University... To cut the long story short, The woman did not exist. The attoney was not a lawyer not even a college grad but an illegal immigrant from Nigeria. He wrote those letters pretending to be the beautiful woman and received the money. The photographs were of someone from the internet.
