This could be either a pet name or have sexual connotation. Check the context and decide.
In any case, congratulations ;)
Thanks for the reply but to see if it aplies to me I need to know what is the "Ya vista" part. Can anyone translate the whole sentence? Thanks
As I said, more context is needed.
It could mean "Have you seen my ..." or "Do you see, ..."
"mi cosito rico" means something like "mi amorcito"?
Thanks for the replies. My GF is speaking to another man and I need to know if she was speaking "mi cosito rico" about me or to him. "Have you seen" sounds about right since she may have been speaking of a photo of me. Does this sound correct? Please understand my situation: My girlfriend wants to have my kids and me at 37 yrs old, I want kids soon also. She has been a very flirtatious girl in the past and I need to know if she has stopped all that. Thanks so much for your help.
That's a possibility. Is it part of a bigger message? Is there a comma in the original message?
There is a big difference:
"ya viste mi cosito rico?" would roughly translate as "Have you seen my ..."
"ya viste, mi cosito rico?" would roughly translate as "Do you see, my ..."
Here is the full text: hola amiguito, tanto tieeeempo como estas? yo , super!! todavia por estos otroa lados del mundo, feliz!! ya viste mi cosito rico? j aj aja ja
un besote , cuidate..I miss u!!
"un besote" --- Is this a normal "friendly gesture" to a man from a woman or is there possibly more?
I am an american man dating a chilean and I am ubrubtly learning the differences in our cultures.
Again, thanks so much for your understanding and help.
"Un besote" is a common goodbye expression among friends...
I think Nadia is right and you do not need to worry. She says she's happy living with you, and was maybe referring to her online profile picture of you?
Good luck with it, Latin American women are well worth the trouble!!! ;)
Praise to you both for your help. I admit, I am paranoid and don't trust easily, but she has given me reason to not trust her in the past. And why take risks on the next 18 yrs of my life. I have seen too many times the problems with children when the parents fight too much or seperate. This world is changing fast and dealing with the new gender roles creates so many challenges and uncertainties.
Hi rohin,
I'm Cuban and I send emails all the time and at the end I write besos, besote, that's just normal, even to my ex boyfriend.
Don't panick, we may be flirtatious but we can love passionately too. If you are planning to spend the rest of your life with her, you should get used to Latin blood people.
We kiss, we hug, we say te quiero and it does not mean we are in love with the person or that we're flirting.
Most likely you are her cosito rico. I have one of those too!!! well, I have two now, my husband and my son...
and she says she's happy, so, not to worry. Enjoy it!!!;)
Hi rohin:
I agree with Said and Nadia, but anyway, why are you planning to spend the rest of your life with a woman you don't fully trust?
