Help with a passage...

Hello guys,

I have been given a passage to attempt to translate in an introduction to Spanish course I have been doing in the evenings after work. Problem is, (as I'm sure you can guess from the introductory aspect of the course) I'm not very good at Spanish (yet, I hope).

I was wondering if someone could have a look at my effort, and maybe correct it where it is wrong?

sure, we can take a look at your attempt and suggest corrections. Please beware of machine translations, I don't think anyone would be able to help you correct one of those :-)
